Putting a plaster on a cut is a basic skill, but remember that you will need a supply of these. It is a good idea to keep some separate from the main first aid box to avoid getting blood or dirt into the first aid kit when dealing with minor injuries. If you are working with children, there are various plasters with cartoons on that may help calm a child. If you have someone who has an allergy to the plaster, then use a standard bandage type pressure dressing.
